2001年のアルバムからですが、また「中途半端に古いメガヒット」系ですみません。私が紹介するまでもなく、みんな知ってるしみんなまだ覚えてるし。でも好きなのでしょうがないのです。アルバムは”The Fallout“というもの。カナダはバンクーバー出身のバンドですが、とりあえずひとりだけやたらカッコいい人がいます。このメインページの一番左の人。っていうか、今そのページの説明読んでいたら、このバンド一応ポストグランジというようなポジションらしいです。やっぱり私ってグランジ好きなのかしら…。自分ではさっぱり分かりませんが。歌詞を下に書いておきます。

それにしても歌詞を今回初めて見たんですけど、こういう弱気っていうか強気ぶって弱気な男の人って結構いますよね。それが意外に自分ではカッコいいとか思っていたりして。いや、実際それがカッコいい人もいるんですけどね。これ本当。[2020年6月7日追記：ふとこのエントリーが出てきて、この歌やっぱり好きだなぁと思ってYouTubeを検索してみたら、もちろん当時のPVも出てきたんですが、上に載せたアコースティックバージョンのボーカルのDallas Smith氏の声量とブレ無さに圧倒されたのでこうして20年近く経ってからで何なのですが、そっちを載せてみました。彼はカナダでのカントリーミュージックシンガーとして活動をしていたということで、2005年の私はグランジだと言い切っていますが、出だしの”I don’t wan to…”の”to”のこぶしや、”I’ve already…”の”..dy”の部分の歌い方なんかは確実にカントリー歌手のそれですね。アコギの頼りなさ（失礼）を一瞬にして消し去るボーカルと”not for real”の”not”の叫び方や”my time”のシャウトにまだまだ感心してます。今はバンドは活躍しているんでしょうか。]
